“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”

We are more than just a social enterprise
GV Medhini was born out of passion. We decided that we had to do something to save Mother Earth from extensive pollution and harm done to living beings, be it plants or animals. The degradation of the environment was simply something that we cannot tolerate. Why is this happening and who is to be blamed?
Mother Earth is filled with abundance. We have come across many natural substances that could be used in various different ways. Be it health, beauty, water and air purification, we strongly believe Mother Earth has a solution to every challenge we are facing. How do we spread the word around?
At the same time, there is a certain community that is in need of help. Everyone has the potential to succeed in life, but why then are certain groups left out? We figured that, these group of people, may need some guidance.
With too many questions and very little answers, we finally found a solution. The ‘AHA’ moment is what triggered the birth of GV Medhini Resources, our very own social enterprise. We are a group of common graduates with an extraordinary dream. A dream to see the Earth being appreciated for the abundance it has given us and more importantly to teach others to view the same.
So, what exactly do we do? We have come up with various plans and solutions to address our concerns.
- GV Medhini is actively involved in water purification projects throughout the nation. We are in the midst of a research and innovation program to use natural elements in the purification process. Currently, we are looking at river purification.
- GV Medhini is actively coming up with our own products to be sold to the community. Our products are natural and eco-friendly, guaranteed.
- With our excellent team of experts, GV Medhini will be able to provide consultancy services on green energy, utilization of natural elements and project management.
- As part of our pledge as a social enterprise, a portion of our sales profit made by selling our services/products will be made to our partner NGO’s. The percentage/amount of the sales profit varies from the type of services/products we provide.
- The next phase is to engage the B40 community, a group that has great potential to contribute to the growth of the country’s economy. We are looking into supporting them in agriculture. We are conducting extensive research on certain underutilized crops such as Moringa, Neem, Nirmali, and Reetha for the benefit of the community. We have planned to conduct workshops and seminars nationwide to teach the public on how to grow these crops and benefit from it.#Moringa4Us is our first initiative
The Founder's Story
Praveena @ Dr. Veena
I have pursued life in the most conventional way like many others. Like many families, I was taught to study hard to obtain a good job. Well, fortunately I loved studying. Spent 10 years of my life pursuing paper qualifications and obtained a PhD in Engineering (Materials). A field that I loved at heart. Particularly, the study of natural materials as it has always fascinated me. I had always appreciated Mother Earth's abundance. I knew that with further study, there is a solution within Mother Earth to every challenges faced by us. But for some reason, I was not able to pursue my quest further. Being a PhD holder means you were 'destined' to be an educator. So, that is what I became. I somewhat loved teaching and finally thought I found my passion. I was wrong. Bogged down by hours and hours of paperwork and chasing KPI's, I finally realized that this is not what I want. It took me 10 long years to finally realize that! But, commitments kept me going. Just like many of us, I believe. Doing things not close to our heart, just to feed our families. Fortunately for me again, I was blessed with a better half who stood (and still stand) by me through thick and thin. A nature and animal lover himself, we both discovered where our true passion really lies. And, we had a dream to share Mother Earth's abundance with everyone who needed it. Thus, GV Medhini was born. We aim and hope that through GV Medhini, a significant role will be played in restoring Mother Earth and to be able to utilize Mother Earth's abundance for the benefit of all.
