Our Social Business Model Explained
12.8 million of Malaysians are categorized to be at the B40 category. The rapid rise of cost of living vs the slow rise of income is a dilemma to many of us. GV Medhini hopes to assist the B40 community (farmers) in providing an alternative source of income. This could be done by the cultivation of underutilized crops that could be used for many purposes from health and wellness, beauty products, and water purification.
GV Medhini - UN Sustainable Development Goals
GV Medhini as a social enterprise is drawn to the sustainable development goals outlined by United Nations (UN). We aim to achieve goals 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 17 as the first phase of our enterprise.
The members of GV Medhini Resources, a social enterprise, consist of a group of young passionate engineers. We strongly believe that there is a solution within nature to all challenges faced by humans. Activities that cause pollution, climate change, deforestation, and rapid urban growth has caused Earth to lose its mechanism of spontaneous natural restoration. As a social enterprise, we call upon interested organizations to work hand-in-hand with us in supporting our cause to restore Earth, and in addition to that, to support the needy by promoting and innovating natural green ecological solutions. Professor Ir Dr Jamaluddin Mahmud
Prof Ir Dr Jamaluddin Mahmud joined the Faculty of Mechanical Eng UiTM in 2001. He has 2+ years of industrial experience at UMW Equipment SB. His areas of teaching and research cover Biomechanics, Composite Materials, FEM and Engineering Design, led to more than 100 publications in journals and proceedings. Due to his active exploration on the new application of motion capture system, one of his papers has been invited and presented at the IMechE UK Medicine & Health Div Meeting in 2009.
